Are there any conditions that prevent me from having a treatment? As a Level 5 Aromatherapist, I have undergone extensive training to provide complementary treatments for a wide range of muscular, emotional, and psychological conditions, including working with clients with existing medical conditions. I also hold additional qualifications in cancer care, pregnancy massage, and working with the elderly and children, ensuring that treatments are safe and tailored to meet different needs. However, some medical conditions may not be suitable for certain treatments. If you have any ongoing health concerns or specific medical conditions, please inform me in advance so I can assess suitability and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment. Your safety and well-being are my top priorities.
-
Will I feel sore after a treatment? Some clients may experience mild soreness after certain treatments like deep tissue massage, but this is temporary and should ease within 24-48 hours.
-
Do you use pre-blended oils, or can I choose my own?I create bespoke aromatherapy blends tailored to your needs, ensuring the most beneficial and enjoyable experience.
-
What should I wear for my treatment? Please wear comfortable clothing. For massages, you will need to remove your clothing, but you will always be covered appropriately with towels to ensure your privacy and comfort. Clients are required to keep lower undergarments on during all treatments to maintain modesty and ensure a respectful and professional environment.
-
How often should I have a treatment? The frequency of treatments depends on your personal needs, but many clients benefit from regular treatments, such as once a month. Here are some key points to consider: General wellness: Once a month is usually sufficient for maintaining relaxation, muscle health, and overall well-being. High stress or active lifestyle: If you experience significant stress or have a physically demanding job, you might need treatments more often—such as once a week or every two weeks—to help manage tension and fatigue. Chronic pain or injury: If you are managing chronic pain or recovering from an injury, we can discuss a more detailed massage plan to support healing. A treatment plan might for example consist of 6 sessions: Session 1 and 2: within 3-4 days of each other Session 3: 1 week after session 2 Session 4: 2 weeks after session 3 Session 5: 3 weeks after session 4 Session 6: 1 month after session 5 This schedule helps to ensure that your body receives the support it needs throughout the healing or relaxation process. I will tailor your treatment plan based on progress and feedback.
-
Do you offer treatments for children or pregnant clients?Yes, I offer treatments for pregnant clients at any stage of pregnancy, as I am fully qualified and insured to do so. Please feel free to contact me to discuss suitability and any specific requirements for your treatment. I am also a qualified infant massage instructor and offer 1-to-1 training for parents who wish to learn how to massage their infants safely and effectively. For clients under 16, treatments require parental consent, and a chaperone must be present during the treatment. There is additional seating available in the treatment room to accommodate this.
-
Can I have a treatment if I am feeling unwell? If you are unwell, particularly with a cold, flu, or any contagious condition, please reschedule your appointment. This helps to avoid passing it on and ensures you get the most benefit from your treatment. Receiving a massage while feeling unwell is unlikely to make you feel better; in most cases, it can actually make you feel worse. To help your body recover, it’s best to rest, keep hydrated, and reschedule your treatment for when you’re feeling better.
-
Can I buy a gift voucher for treatments?Yes! Gift vouchers are available online and can be used to pay for both treatments and products. They can also be redeemed online, making them a convenient and thoughtful gift for any occasion.
